True.  But Grub's command line is a lot of code and AFAIK it only
addresses one rare issue.  It doesn't for example, deal with the common
case of a trashed MBR - but neither of course does Lilo.

Before I try to reinvent a wheel, does anyone already have a recipe for
making a rescue image with root password and sshd that can be pxe
booted?
