yum makecache doesn't override the cookie timeouts. So it doesn't
pull repomd again.
so depending on your mirrorlist situation... you get a lot of checksum
mismatches as makecache tries to fill in missing files like
filelists.xml.gz and other.xml.gz from mirrors that are out of sync
with the last mirror you cached against.
Or if you are lucky enough to have the a full set of repodata
cached... doesn't attempt to recache at all.
I would have expected makecache to forcible override the cookietime
outs and garunteed a new cache.
