latest php have bug or kernel-smp-2.6.14-1.1749_FC5 script bug

this showed up after updating development php today ... is this a
incompatibility issue with latest php ... or a bug in new php?

note that the scriptlet failed, exit status 255 is starting to show up
with other updates also ... not just kernel-smp
