maybe you need to update the fedora-release package to
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/i386/Fedora/RPMS/fedora-release-3-rawhide.noarch.rpm
please be aware that the repo config files for yum and up2date/rhn are in
this package.
