I've noticed with my laptop, that the network gets setup using my wireless 
connection instead of the wired one. This produces performance issues when 
the wireless signal is weak.

If you have more than one interface (e.g., one wired/one wireless), check if 
the default route is using the right interface (via '/sbin/route').
