rpmdb : Program version 4.2 does not match environment version
error : db4 error (22) from dbenv->open : Invalid argument
error : cannot open package index using db3 - invalid argument (22)
error : cannot open packages in /var/lib/rpm

I did as you suggested and wiped the __db* files and did a rpm --rebuild
-vv, but it looks more like a version number/rpm version problem.

Any help appreciated. I'm getting annoyed with my other having to use my
PC!
