Hello Jim until today I had the same problem with FC 5.91 (FC6 Test2). Because no update solved it, I looked into it by comparing the used libraries in programs which had the display problem (i.e. firefox, evolution, tsclient) and others which hadn't. The reason for the display problem is the cairo package in the development repository. By using the latest cairo package of the FC5 update repository there should be no problems. Dirk
Dirk,I got the version cairo-1.1.10-1.x86_64.rpm and did an rpm --oldpackage and it did not fix the problem. What version of cario did you use that fixed the missing text in firefox? LMK.

When I open Firefox, I get Fedora Core 5.91 release notes displayed. However, only the underlined and bold text is displayed. If I scroll the page, all the text will appear and looks fine. As soon as another program get focus, the text disappears again. Clicking back on Firefox and scrolling the page will return the text. Is this OS, Firefox, X11, or ? Any ideas? I have an X86_64 system with NVIDIA card and use KDE. Jim-- fedora-test-list mailing list fedora-test-list redhat com To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-test-list
