ESC cannot be operated...?

After latest FC6t2 updates, logging into a gnome session as root
produces a popup that says:

ESC cannot be operated with the icon in the notification area.
Please insert a Security Key to bring ESC to life.

There is only one button in the dialog labeled "OK".

This dialog clearly needs another button labeled:

"What in the heck is this and why is it popping up
on my screen?"

(Whatever it is, I went into my session and removed ESC :-).
