By default, yum (and thus anaconda) will install any available i386 variant of 
an x86_64 package requested.

EG:

yum install control-center

will pull in control-center.i386 and control-center.x86_64

See archives for discussion about an anaconda option to disable this.  
(exclude *.i?x86)
