Yeah, it's something to do with the launcher patch we're applying not
actually being used in the built launcher that's included.  I think I've
figured it out and hopefully it will be fixed in tomorrow's push.

In the meantime, you can start it thusly:

 cd /usr/share/eclipse; ./eclipse <options you'd normally pass>
