Or maybe the admin wants to back up his laptop.
The assumption that "every machine that uses software of type x must be a
server" is no longer valid when you have desktop and/or laptop machines
that can server both purposes without breaking a sweat. (Like my x86_64
AMD64 3700+ laptop.)
