aixgl and gconf question

gconftool-2 -s /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager --type bool true


[justin at kainos ~]$ cat aixgl-compositor-off.sh
#!/bin/bash
gconftool-2 -s '/apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager' --type bool
false


Is there anyway of getting something like that in /usr/bin/ for metacity?
