FC5T2 problems: gnome-terminal, emacs and evolution

  Hello all,
           Some new problems for FC5T2 upgrade from FC4.
*)  gnome-terminal crashes if I 'su' to root.  Sent to bugzila
  Also, gnome doesn't have a gnome-terminal by right-click any more. Can it
be re-instated somehow?

*)  emacs is broken. Probably an upgrade issue. I just get empty squares 
where
each letter should be. Its a font-server issue: if I run the emacs on the
FC5T2 machine sending output to another screen all is well

*) evolution is dead. This is with exchange. It hangs forever instead of 
starting.
The window opens, I can see the bug about the icons being missing, and 
then it just
hangs forever.
