FC6, cifs, local filesystem according do 'df -l' ?

If I mount a cifs filesystem on Fedora Core 6, it is listed by
df -Pl
as if it were a local filesystem
(unlike smbfs in older FC4 or Centos 4).

Is it intentional or a bug?
