Anything in this kernel that is causing my CPU to peg out and bring my
desktop to an almost complete halt?  I rebooted to the earlier
kernel, .2608, and it so far works like normal, with exception of the
NFS EIO's.

System is i686 PIV 2.8Ghz system.
