This is yum's 'shortest-match' algorithm biting you.  The new PAE kernel
should have the virtual provide for kernel-drm-nouveau as well, but
since you don't have it yet, and you didn't ask yum to also update
kernel-PAE, it tries to satisfy the Requires by installing a new
package.

Oh well.  Add 'kernel-PAE' to the transaction list and you should be
set.
