Mine simply hangs on the first screen were it counts down from 60 seconds to
make a decision,

Live CD has two options, something like this:
Boot
Boot with RAM
Prime has more options for install/upgrade and what not, but locks up on the
same screen, I don't have a chance to do anything.

Not sure if it is sata dvd's/hds or the gma x3000.
