errors in updating again

Dear all,

--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: ant = 1.6.5-4jpp.2.fc7 is needed by package ant-manifest-only

tried this
yum update --exclude ant*

but then got 

Running rpm_check_debug

--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.

---> Package mod_perl.i386 0:2.0.3-11 set to be updated

ERROR with rpm_check_debug vs depsolve:

Package mod_perl needs perl(ExtUtils::MakeMaker), this is not available.

and 

ERROR with rpm_check_debug vs depsolve:

Package spamassassin needs perl(ExtUtils::MakeMaker), this is not available.

Complete!

How do I proceed with this?

PS.  Looks like yum wants to fix the texlive and tetex issue, but these errors kill it in the way.  Thanks for help provided in Advanced.
