Dear list,
I got latest kernel kernel-2.6.24-0.57.rc3.git4.fc9
and it also fails to boot. It hangs when displayling
io scheduler cfq registered (default). I have already
trashed the other -0.55 kernel because it did not work
:).
[root localhost ~]# rpm -e
kernel-2.6.24-0.55.rc3.git3.fc9
[root localhost ~]# rpm -e
kernel-devel-2.6.24-0.55.rc3.git3.fc9
[root localhost ~]# rpm -qa kernel*
kernel-devel-2.6.24-0.42.rc3.git1.fc9
kernel-2.6.24-0.42.rc3.git1.fc9
kernel-headers-2.6.24-0.57.rc3.git4.fc9
kernel-devel-2.6.24-0.39.rc3.git1.fc9
kernel-2.6.24-0.39.rc3.git1.fc9
kernel-devel-2.6.24-0.57.rc3.git4.fc9
kernel-2.6.24-0.57.rc3.git4.fc9
[root localhost ~]#
I have only two kernels working because this one also
fails :(
kernel-2.6.24-0.42.rc3.git1.fc9 is the one has has
continued to work. In case it is relevant to the
thread, I will post smoltProfile here
http://www.smolts.org/show?UUID=5e80274b-13b0-455b-b557-d05b0170dcfc
I'll update it again on Monday. Hopefully things work
out better then :) The kernel parameters are too much
to try and make the kernels work when
kernel-2.6.24-0.42.rc3.git1.fc9 does the job fine
without them.
Thanks,
Antonio
