acpi=off noapic nolapic nolapic_timer highres=off
(but no login is possible in runlevel 3|5)
is what i need on *my* macmini
core duo: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2300 @ 1.66GHz
others will have other experiences.
nohz=off - seems to be useless on my machine.
selinux=0 - without i get "respawning to fast"
1 - runlevel 3 and 5 are completely useless, no login is possible
with all options it is booting but the problem is starting with
"udev" "wait timeout: will continue in the background"
some services can start, others (eg. mysql, squid) can not start.
without the one or other option it freezes at different points.
initramfs
isapnp
usb
nash
...
all the poblems are beginning > 2.6.24-0.42.rc3.git1.fc9
it would be great if you could find the changes between 0.42 and 0.43
i assume that not only one single boot-option is the solution and the
problem is deeper in the current kernels.
i assume "time" is somehow the keyword.
