Why the old kernel? Are you not running rawhide?
The newer kernel causes my broadcom wireless NIC not to work properly, I think. I can't remember, but there's something wrong with it that I didn't feel like figuring out at the time.
Personally, I'd save the throwback and submit it to BZ. If it's the same
as the current problem, C will flag it. By the sounds of it, it's not.
How do I get a throwback if it's freezing?
