This issue never came up before this time.
You are right. I forgot to report this issue. Since FC6, and on rawhide, I have both Kile and TeXMaker enabled. Kile defaults to using kdvi and TeXMaker to evince.

The dvi backend is currently not enabled in Fedora's
Evince builds
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=173514).
In the meantime, I'll revert the patch that reset the
default dvi viewer to evince. Thanks.

Great/ Thanks for sharing this information. I guess not too many people use TeXMaker. It was never a bug just a missing feature.
