Rescue CD fails to initialize network using IPv4 DHCP

For some weeks the Rescue CD-ROM has failed to initialize the network
using IPv4 [only] DHCP.  Anaconda team has attacked the problem recently,
but the rescue CD still fails on my nVidia CK804 eth0.  What is needed
to get this working properly?
