That's an upgrade path bug, and shows how unversioned Obsoletes are evil. 
Pushing a tetex update without the Obsoletes to F8 updates should fix this 
Obsoletes loop. If jnovy doesn't reply to this message anyway, I'd suggest 
filing a bug.
