Try turning off powersave mode by adding this option to snd-hda-intel
options in modprobe.conf:
power_save=0
so it should look something like this:
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-card-0 index=0 power_save=0
options snd-hda-intel index=0 power_save=0
