f8 LiveCD corrupts older RHEL AS 2.1 ext3 file systems

The kernel is probably (silently) changing some filesystem options when
it mounts the partitions.  And those new filesystem options aren't
supported by the 2.4.9 kernel used by RHEL 2.1
