3.2.12 and 13 are much faster than others. Measured as such, in fact.
What are you seeing as 'glacial'?

It's an HP dc7700, 2 Gbytes of RAM.

However, it's possible I was a bit behind and didn't pick up the newer version until just before my 1.0 Gbyte update. I've given up watching, but I could time it and post the results if I think it's still slow.
