I think that what Ignacio meant is that support for this particular
feature does not exist in Alsa at this time (at least not in the
version Fedora ships) and that anyone interested in getting this
feature in Alsa should work with the upstream Alsa developers to get
this feature into Alsa.  Once it's in Alsa, it'll be in Fedora.
Fedora has been pretty good about shipping the latest released Alsa
version.
