Login name not echoed to tty1

["A.J. Werkman" <AJ Werkman digifarma nl>]

When I install rawhide with only the most basic packages and login on 
tty1 the login name and its <enter> are not echoed to the screen when I 
login the first time after booting. Any other subsequent login does not 
show this behaviour.

On the other tty's I don't see this behaviour.

A minimal problem, but I thought I report it here as it might confuse 
people.

Anyone seen this?
