Funny things....with sound

I had a fully functional system (desktop) with all multimedia working
(including MP3 and unofficial codecs) and also Skype was working.
Applied updates today, and now when I start Skype, Rhythmbox crashes
after a while saying that he need additional codecs. If I log out and
in and I don't start Skype I recover full functionality of
Rhythmbox!!!!
Any idea???
