I cant understand the problem. I have a hdradeon 3450 (256meg) card, and 
everything works just fine at higher resolutions above 1024x768. I have 
not tested lower resolutions, but expect that there may be some problems 
at the 800x600 level. (Just surmising).  My driver is fglrx (vendor 
supplied)
