Neat shortcut if you know what the binary is but don't know what package
it's in:

rpm -qf `which somebinary`

e.g.:

[adamw adam ~]$ rpm -qf `which glxgears`
glx-utils-7.3-5.fc11.x86_64
[adamw adam ~]$
