Re: F10 and nVidia ==> Big Problems

I have similar problems with a Gateway DX4720-03, which also has the nVidia GeForce 7100 GPU. Complete specs are at http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4348627&sku=S445-10007 [1]

Has this been fixed? If so, how do I get the fix?
If not, is there a workaround? I see on the web suggestions for Ubuntu or Debian users to install proprietary nVidia drivers; is that the correct workaround for F10?
