Desktop effects: solid white screen

When I enable desktop effects in current rawhide, all I get is a solidwhite screen. c-a-bs or <enter> gets me out.


How do I fix this?

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV630 [Radeon HD2600 Series]


same result using radeonhd driver.
