Noveau - the Good and Bad News

The good news:  I was running Noveau and didn't notice any
problems with what it does.

The bad news:  Compared to Nvidia, Noveau is 0 for three.
No fan control - it still roars.
No compiz.
Flightgear unusable.

BTW, why is Compiz stuck with an old version?
