GPSMAN (sorry, forgot F9)

System is fedora9.

I have connected a yellow etrex via a dedicated USB-to-serial
connector. While connecting, GPSMAN shows an error

bad option "-mode": should be one of -blocking, -buffering, -buffersize,
-encoding, -eofchar, or -translation
