You get to keep both pieces if it breaks at the moment.
A few tips:
(a) Use the RPMs from my website:
http://et.redhat.com/~rjones/libguestfs/files/
(b) If you're on Fedora 10, then you *HAVE TO* upgrade to the Rawhide
version of qemu, which is fairly painless:
yum --enablerepo=rawhide install qemu
(c) If you have any other problems, post on fedora-virt list.

The following tips only apply if you are building from source instead
of using the RPMs.
(i) There is no febootstrap in Fedora 10 yet (I'm still waiting for a
dependency to finish updates-testing period). Use the RPMs from here
instead:

or use the febootstrap in F-11 or Rawhide.
(ii) Unset CDPATH.
