I would guess the Voodoo at home is using XFree86-4 while the MGA G200
is using XFree86-3.3.6.

Not really up on DPMS, but if my suspicion above holds true, you aren't
using XFree86-4 on that box. Try running 'Xconfigurator --preferxf4' on
it (while not in X)

Upgrade or Clean install? You probably want to delete the known-hosts
and authorized_keys files from both machines and start over. Just a
guess.
