Right click on the desktop to get the E settings menu (or middle button
and then the settings submenu) and choose "Tooltip Settings"
I think the ones you want to get rid of is the "Display Root Window
Tips"
option. The other option is for window tips, like title bars,
decoration button, and window edge tips (that tell what you can
do when the mouse is there with different buttons and keys)

Nothing. I prefer the E pager over GNOME, but you can turn them off.
For GNOME, right click on the Pager, and choose remove from panel.
For the E pager, use the e settings menu again, but
choose pager settings, then deselect the "Enable pager display"
button and then OK.

E also has and iconbox, like other window managers.
Check enlightenment.org for more on using E and new
feature (like the file manager in development or themes)

Not a clue about this one. Is this GUI or text?
Local CD, hard drive, or networked?
