It appears to be a local problem - I've been running KDE 2 here for some
weeks and I haven't seen many crashes (not more than expected from a
prerelease).

If you're experiencing reproducable problems with the final, report them
(both http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla and http://bugs.kde.org/ are ok
for this).
