Need info on Guinness kernel headers.

Hi all,

     In Guinness, the kernel is 2.2.16, but the headers are labeled
2.4.  This works for me very well.  The problem is that folks on a couple
of lists that I'm on are yapping about the fact that it's very very bad to
mix versions like that.  I know it works, but would like to know why.  Any
pointers?
