Oops,  I was trying so many different combinations this slipped in.
moved it, still not go.  I am sure the file was ssh_known_hosts in other
tests.

I added 'DSAAuthentication yes' (default) to the sshd_config file, still
no go 
I added a /etc/hosts.equiv, still no go

? 
slogin hostname   (proto 1) works
slogin -2 hostname  (proto 2) no go



scp .ssh/id_dsa.pub hostname:.ssh/authorized_keys2
slogin -2 hostname  (proto 2) works
( but I would have to do this on 12 servers across too many users)



Has anyone gotten this to work?
Or is it just me?
