You're right, it is frustrating.
If nobody picks up your problem and offer a solution, maybe that's because
they simply don't know enough about the problem or haven't yet found a
reasonable explanation for it. Whatever the problem is, complaining about it
won't help a lot.
As for your particular problem, I downloaded and installed bind-8.2.3-0.6.x
weeks ago and it works like a charm for me. Now when you think about it,
wouldn't it be even more frustrating if the discussion went like this:
You: Bind dies mysteriously after I updated it
x: Well it works for me
x: Yup, me too.
x: Same here
x: Maybe you did something wrong
x: Yeah, check your documentation
IMO that would only make matters worse :-)
