Updating the minor version number usualy does make sense. That is
because it is usualy bug fixes, more then new features. But you can
upgrade to the latest minor version number just be keeping up to date
with the latest RPMs. Upgrading major versions is another story.
For servers, I normaly don't upgrade untill the x.2 version or the x.0
of the next major release is out. I am getting ready to upgrade my last
5.2 server now. The main reasion I will move away from 5.2 is because
it is getting to be a pain keeping it up to date with the latest
security updates.
