RED HAT Linux Problem

Sir,

I am using RED HAT Linux 6.2 and i am facing one problem which is as follows:

If i create one shell account then if i goto home directory it shows like:

     owner        group        account
      512           users         xyz

So the problem is in the owner it should show xyz but now all new user 
created it shows the user ID instead of name of user ID.

Pl. tell me how can i change to show USER name instead of USER ID
I want it should be like as :

     owner        group          account
      xyz             users          xyz

Pl. help me
