Hi..
I am having trouble booting linux. I have
installed it several times but linux won't boot after the first restart. It
seems that Lilo won't even load. When it starts to load the MBR the compter
just sits with a undeline curser constantly flashing in the top left hand
corner. I also have the same problem with RedHat 6.2 but when the computer
starts to display Lilo.... it only says Li_ with the curser flashing. I
haven't tried any other versions of linux. btw Linux seems to install
fine.
My System is:
AMD Athlon 1ghz
Asus K7V mainboard
128mb PC133 Ram
Creative Savage 4 GT/Pro 32Mb PCI Video
Card
48x Panasonic CDrom (on IDE ATA/66 Secondary
Slave Port)
20 Gb Western Digital ATA/66/100 72000rpm
(on IDE ATA/66 Primary Master Port)
Avance Logic ALS4000 PCI Sound Card
At the moment my computer is just sitting there
as i bought it to run linux. At the moment I'm restricted to only using
Windows ME which runs fine so i know there is nothing wroung with my hardware.
Any help asap will be great.
