Yup I suspected time/daytime was something else, I just wanted to make sure.
The trouble is... the ntp daemon is running and syncing properly against the
external source. But unlike the previous machine, it refuses connections to
the clients on our LAN. Let me illustrate with pseudo-hostnames:
ntp.external.x
\-ntp.my.server <-- here's the problem
\-client1
\-client2
\-client3
"ntp.my.server" can sync to "ntp.external.x" but the clients can't connect
to "ntp.my.server"
The setup used to work with RH6.x so this whole thing is getting on my
nerves since everything appears to be identical :-(
If anyone has set this up successfully, please let me know the exact rpms
and configuration you're using.
