First, whether one uses RHL as a server or workstation says absolutely
nothing about whether their email client can support HTML mail. I've
read email using programs on servers which didn't support it, and have
used Windows email clients which didn't support it. The point is, not
all mailers support HTML.

Second, in 99% of the cases here, there is absolutely _no_ added value
to HTML. Zip, zilch, nada. It merely expands the size of the message
and annoys people for no purpose. (Extra points if the poster uses
"stationary", which won't necessarily render well even if your mailer
_does_ support HTML, and often creates really junky HTML with
hard-coded <div> sections per line.)

Third, I don't know whether the digest is a mime digest and supports
html or not. I _do_ know it will not be renderable in the
downloadable mboxes (which strip some mime headers) and it won't be
renderable in the HTML version of the archives, for approximately the
same reason.

In short, there are a number of good technical reasons to shun HTML
for this list, and you're wrong.
