I am contemplating building a new machine to support a RedHad 7.0 OS with an
Intel D815EEAL mother board and a Pentium III 800 . The board is based on
the Intel 815E chipset. As I am new to Linux, I'd like to minimize
configuration issues. Although the compatibility list does have the Pentium
III, I didn't see anything on this board or the 815E chipset.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
PS I just built an ABIT KT7A Raid system (already loaded with a MS OS) and
was also contemplating using this type of mobo (w/o RAID), but am concerned
about via chipset and Highpoint compatibility issues,so the I'm thinking
intel might be a smarter choice?
