Dell Inspiron 4000

My question is: has anybody tried to or have heard about to install RH 7.0
on laptop Dell Inspiron 4000 model?

I'm just about to buy some laptop and Dell have a special offer this days.

The hitch is that Dell don't recommend Linux on that model, instead they
recommend the Latitude model (much more expensive).

Maybee som other recommendations for laptop and Linux?
